L&D: From order taker to value maker

Change is a creature of consequence. The bigger the change, the bigger the aftereffects – and in the case digital transformation, there are none bigger than those eternally-linked twins, challenge and opportunity.

Organisations across the globe are seeing their business models either altered beyond recognition or completely torn apart, with new ones taking their place. But the overall shape of Learning and Development is largely unchanged – and that’s a cause for vast concern.

Because it implies that L&D hasn’t been moving at the speed of business – rather than metamorphosing to adapt to the demands of the 21st Century, the majority of L&D is still mired in the 20th.

It’s a concern shared by Charles Jennings, co-founder of the 70:20:10 Institute. Recognised as one of the world's leading experts on building and implementing learning and organisational performance strategies, Charles has led learning and performance improvement projects for multinational corporations, government agencies, not-for-profits, and other organisations for almost 40 years.

In this video, Charles shares his thoughts on how the 70:20:10 Institute and Fuse Universal can help businesses accelerate their L&D strategies and pull alongside the speeding express that is Digital Transformation.
