It's been a busy week at Fuse HQ but the team was all too happy to take a few minutes out to celebrate not one, but two of our fantastic customers being shortlisted in the 2020 Learning Technologies Awards.
Our friends at Avon – the original direct-to-customer beauty giant – were recognised in the category of 'Best Use of Social and Collaborative Learning Technologies', and pet-care customer, Medivet - a community of UK-based veterinary professionals, was shortlisted along with Fuse for 'Learning Technologies Team of the Year'.
The Learning Technologies Awards, which rewards excellence in Learning Technologies and eLearning, has grown quickly over the past five years to become the biggest awards programme of its kind in the UK – and we're proud to feature on the 2020 shortlist.
Avon and Fuse worked in partnership to create a strong culture of continuous learning across 40 markets for hundreds of thousands of its beauty entrepreneurs. The real game-changer? The team was reporting measurable performance improvement after just 90 days – all the evidence you need to prove that actively engaged learners have a direct impact on business performance.
In collaboration with Medivet, the Fuse team was tasked with building a "Digital First" training strategy in less than 50 days while developing a culture of empowerment, teamwork and continual learning. The common goal was to deliver a dynamic and user-friendly learning platform – one that would unlock the potential of Medivet's people and deliver an engaging, learner-centric experience. The result? Mission complete.
Commenting on the industry recognition, Darren Shurmer, Head of Digital Learning at Medivet, said: "We are very proud to be shortlisted for 'Learning Technologies Team of the Year'. Both Medivet and Fuse worked incredibly hard to launch a user-friendly, content-rich and engaging learning experience platform to 3,200 users within just 50 days."
Echoing Darren's sentiments, Luke Oubridge, CEO at Fuse, said: "We're absolutely thrilled to see our customers, Avon and Medivet, recognised in this way. By rejecting rigid or traditional learning systems in favour of Fuse's learning platform, these companies have drawn a line in the sand and put an end to control-based, course-centric learning. Their people are now far more actively engaged in learning for the benefit of work and the tangible business results speak for themselves.
Oubridge continued: "We're on a mission to blow legacy learning platforms and approaches out of the water and together with pioneering customers like Avon and Medivet, we're making a real difference. It's wonderful to be recognised for our collective achievements."
Congratulations on the shortlistings, Avon and Medivet, let's keep on shaking things up!
